Jesus Needs You to Share the Good News
Recently, I’ve been contemplating the state of the world. The fighting between the left and the right in politics is quite alarming. I understand that people in the United States disagree on many things, which is understandable because we have many problems that need fixing, and we need to talk about them.
However, wagging our finger at the other side before repenting of our own sins is very hypocritical. It’s like accusing your neighbor that his 15-inch-tall grass is an eyesore when you’ve got 6-foot-tall thistles in your flower beds and backyard. Often, we correct our neighbors before we get our own house in order.
What we ought to do is remember that we are all mortal, we are all sinners, and we all need Jesus Christ. Now, I’m not saying that because we are all sinners, we should stop looking for solutions to our nation’s problems. On the contrary, I think we need more people taking responsibility for their nation. However, fixing a nation begins with fixing the one person you can control: yourself. A collective return to the Judeo-Christian principles that influenced the founding of our nation is necessary. But that change must first start with you and me.
The divide in our society will not be mended by anything short of the power of God. How will we obtain that power, you might ask? It is by living and preaching the unadulterated, unpopular, original gospel of Jesus Christ that the American Christian will gain the power to heal what has been broken in our families, communities, and nation.
Jesus needs you and me to repent of our sins. He needs us to take responsibility for ourselves and put our own house in order. Taking responsibility for our sins and repenting is preparation for becoming great leaders.
If you believe in Jesus Christ and hold Him above all else as your God and the Creator of all things, then I have an invitation for you: study the Scriptures and discover what God wants you to stand for in the political arena.
I offer this warning: do not adulterate the gospel to make it fit your own belief system. Misinterpreting the gospel grieves the Holy Spirit, and the power of God will be far from you—a power you will desperately need to endure and emerge victorious in the Day of the Lord's judgment.
Jesus needs you to declare that the kingdom of heaven is at hand!
As you preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and live according to its precepts, you will have the power of the Holy Spirit. When you speak, the Spirit will flow through you into the hearts of God's elect. When you are persecuted for Jesus, the angels of God will be with you. When your burdens become too heavy, Jesus will help carry them. When you do not know what to say, the Spirit of God will speak through you. All of this power is contingent upon your faithfulness to Christ and your faith in God.

Joshua 24:15
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
